On Friday, the 7th ranked Nebraska men's gymnastics team advanced to the team finals at the NCAA Championships for the first time since 1999.
The Huskers finished 3rd in their session to move on to the six finals.
"This is unbelievable. It's been just so many years of downers and hard work and downers and being so close, like last year," Head Coach Chuck Chmelka said. "Now doing it (advancing to finals) - it's fantastic."
The team finals will feature six schools and will start at 5 p.m. Saturday.
