LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — The 6th ranked Nebraska volleyball team opens NCAA Tournament play on Friday at home against Hofstra. This marks the 34th season in which the Huskers have hosted 1st and 2nd round matches. NU is 73-7 all-time in NCAA Tournament matches played in Lincoln.

"Last year I almost felt it was almost an advantage to go on the road for regionals cause I think that team felt pressure here," said head coach John Cook. "I think this year's team, I think they will thrive being in our home crowd. I think they feed off of it. I think our crowd's going to be really fired up. I think it's going to be really exciting."

Friday's match starts at 7 p.m. If the Huskers win, they'll play the winner of the Arizona/Missouri match on Saturday at 7 p.m.
