LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — The 6th ranked Nebraska volleyball team struggled for much of the match but came through when it mattered most as the Huskers beat Iowa in five sets on Saturday night in Lincoln, 25-20, 23-25, 27-25, 25-18, 15-6.
Iowa native Madi Kubik had a match-high 19 kills, while Jazz Sweet added 18 & Lauren Stivrins had 15.
John Cook's club has now won six straight matches.
NU improved to 22-3 overall & 14-2 in the Big Ten, while the Hawkeyes fell to 9-18 overall & 3-13 in the league.
The Big Red returns to action next Friday at 5th ranked Minnesota starting at 8 p.m. on BTN.
