University of Nebraska Omaha's Evan Weninger has been named the NCHC Goaltender of the Week.
Weninger earned his second career shutout in a 2-0 win over Northern Michigan Saturday, November 26th. He made 31 saves including 19 in the third period. Weninger's goals-against average (2.67) and save percentage (.903) rank fifth-best in the NCHC.
Omaha will travel to Wisconsin for its next series. The Mavericks (7-5-2) will take on the Badgers (7-5-0) Friday at 7:37 p.m. and Saturday at 8:07 p.m at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
