The UNO men's basketball team suffered a tough loss in the Summit League Wednesday as IUPUI took down the Mavs 89-78. UNO sat just 1.5 games out of first place before tonight's loss.
Omaha's Marcus Tyus lead the team in scoring with 20 points, while Mitch Hahn added 12 and Tra-Deon Hollins added 11. Hollins also added eight assists and seven rebounds.
The Mavericks were out-rebounded 34-26 and IUPUI was able to score 26 points off of Omaha's 18 turnovers. IUPUI was also able to drain 13 of the 27 three-point shots and shot 50-percent from the field.
Kellen Thomas led the way for the Jaguars with 25 points. Darrell Combs added 18 points, while Matt O'Leary added another 17.
