As the regular season winds down, Friday night was packed with action on both the boys' and girls' sides in high school hoops. Top-ranked Papillion-La Vista improved to 17-3 overall with a 74-53 victory over Omaha Bryan.
Meanwhile, over at Millard South, it was senior night for both the boys and girls teams. First, on the boys' side, the Patriots had their senior night spoiled by Omaha North, 58-53. The Vikings improve to 12-7 overall, while Millard South drops to 9-10 overall.
But it was a different story for the Millard South girls, as the Patriots won big over the Omaha North girls, 72-28. And it was an extra special night for senior Grace Rasmussen, as she became only the second girl in Millard South girls' basketball history to score 1,000 points in her career.
Finally, the Omaha Westside girls team fell to the visitors from Lincoln Southwest, 54-47.
