Millard South hosted Lincoln Pius X at Buell Stadium in a week three matchup Thursday night. Millard South was looking to earn its first win of the season, while Pius X was trying to keep its undefeated season alive.
Things didn't start well for the Patriots as the Thunderbolts scored on their first drive of the game, taking an early 7-0 lead on the road.
On the Patriots next drive, Keegan Case fumbled shortly after catching a short pass from quarterback Andy Reel. The turnover led to a Pius X touchdown by Will Spethman which put the Thunderbolts up 14-0.
In the beginning of the second quarter, Reel rolled to his right trying to extend the play but his pass was picked off by T.J. Hansen and taken back for six.
The Patriots scored a pair of late touchdowns, but it was not enough as the Thunderbolts cruised to win 31-14.
