Ashland-Greenwood's Trevor Nichelson was awarded the Gatorade Nebraska Football Player of the Year on Tuesday.
Nichelson rushed for nearly 2,000 yards and 25 touchdowns in 26.
He will attend Nebraska next year on a wrestling scholarship.
