In a rematch from week four of the regular season (Bellevue West winning on a late-game touchdown), the second-seed Thunderbirds were too much for Millard West again, winning 63-42 final.
And it was a record night for Bellevue West's Jaylin Bradley. The Thunderbird running back rushed for a single-game Nebraska 11-man football record 496 yards tonight. Bradley added seven touchdowns on top of his record-setting performance.
Bellevue West also may have had the play of the year just before the half, as the Wildcats' Josh Wallace laid out Caleb Goetz on a pass break-up, but the Thunderbirds' Sylvo Johnson was right there to snag the deflection and take it to the house to close out the first half.
Bellevue West now advances to the Class A semi-finals, where they will play the six seed, Creighton Prep next Friday night.
