The Bellevue West Thunderbirds match up against the Millard West Wildcats in the second round of the Nebraska high school football playoffs.
The No. 2 Thunderbirds have flourished behind the air-attack of quarterback Joe Dolincheck and running back Jaylin Bradley. Bellevue West Head Coach Michael Huffman said one of the keys to his team's success is the emergence of Dolincheck as a passer.
Dolincheck took over at quarterback after Bellevue West's starter went down with a torn ACL in the team's first game of the season. Dolincheck has now thrown for over 2,200 yards and 20 touchdowns.
The Wildcats and the Thunderbirds met earlier in the season, with Bellevue West coming out on top 21-7. The rematch starts at 7 p.m. Friday at Bellevue West.
