One of the most improved teams in Class A this season could be Millard South. The Patriots went just 1-8 last season but return eight starters on offense this year and all eleven on defense.
"That's the one thing you can't coach is experience," said head coach Andy Means. "And so that's going to help us springboard into this season. Last year, we were just so inexperienced and we were just a step slow all the time against teams that had more experience than we did. So we're looking that that's going to help us from the start."
Millard South returns quarterback Andy Reel, who threw for over 1,200 yards last season and running back Ryan Lawrence, who gained over 600 yards on the ground a year ago.
The Pats open the season on Friday August 25 at home against Millard West.
