P.J. Smith is the new head football coach at Omaha Concordia. The former Husker safety has been an assistant with the Mustangs before.
Smith takes over a Concordia program that is coming off its first ever playoff appearance.
"One thing I keep telling everybody: we're going to change the stuff that happens inside this building," said Smith. "Being on time. Respecting everybody. Using Coach Smith or whoever it is instead of calling people by their first name. Respect. Yes ma'am. No ma'am. Yes sir. No sir. That's small things right there that we implement in this program that I don't play with. And that's a must."
The Mustangs return six starters on each side of the ball. Omaha Concordia opens the season at Lincoln Christian on Friday.
