Omaha Westside went 5-5 last year making it to the first round of the playoffs. The Warriors return the quarterback-receiver duo of Dylan Plautz and Caleb Schweigart that is sure to give opposing defensive coordinators fits.
"With him being so confident in himself, I'm confident in him as well and I know that if it breaks down I can trust him," said Plautz. "I know that he's going to be where he should be and he's really going to compete for the ball."
"It's really awesome to have someone back there that you know that can get you the ball," Schweigart said. "Any route you want to run, you just know it's going to be there."
Westside returns five starters on each side of the ball. The Warriors open the 2017 at home against their rival Creighton Prep on Friday August 25.
