Standing at 6'6, Omaha Burke's Chris Hickman stands out on the gridiron. The Bulldog tight end is coming off a sophomore season where he caught 15 passes for 320 yards and seven touchdowns.
And the Class of 2019 recruit has been working hard this offseason to get even better. And so far, colleges across the country have taken notice. The Burke Bulldog has received offers from Mississippi, Iowa State, and South Dakota State. Nebraska has also shown interest in Hickman.
"It's still early," Hickman said. "I'm not really decided on where I want to go, just knowing that I've grown so much since my freshman year so really just keeping my eyes open and just taking it all in."
And if his game-winning touchdown grab in the Nebraska State 7-on-7 championship is any indication, his hard work this offseason is starting to pay off.
"He's taken full advantage of the last few months to really improve his game," said Burke's head football coach, Paul Limongi.
