The state track meet started today at Burke Stadium in some damp conditions.  And some old state records fell today, as Millard West's Seth Hirsch crushed a 40-year old record in the Class A 3200 meter run by more than 11 seconds, finishing with a time of 8:57.

In the field events, Omaha Benson's Kiana Estima won the Class A girls' long jump with a distance of 18 feet 3.75 inches.

And Omaha North's Treyshaun Burnett took home the title in the Class A boys' triple jump with a distance 48 feet 7.75 inches.

The state track meet concludes tomorrow at Burke Stadium.
