The Chicago Cubs are giving fans around the country the opportunity to see the Cubs' first World Series Trophy in over 100 years, and the tour is coming to both Omaha and Lincoln.
The Cubs Trophy Tour, presented by State Farm, will be in Lincoln at Pinnacle Bank Arena from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and will make a stop in Omaha at Westside High School from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10. The trophy will also be available at the the Nebraska Crossing Outlets in Gretna at the Under Armour Factory House from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
"We're excited to share our cherished trophy with fans this offseason, as we celebrate such a historic World Series Championship," Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts said. "We can't wait for our fans to experience the joy of seeing this piece of history in person."
At each event, the first 500 fans will be given a wristband to ensure they can see the trophy. After that, additional fans will be accommodated if time permits.
"We want to get as many fans in so things will move fast," said Tom Lorenz, general manager of Pinnacle Bank Arena.
