The Chicago Cubs won the World Series for the first time since 1908 with the help from former Omaha Storm Chaser Mike Montgomery, who recorded the final out in the cubs 8-7 win in last night's Game Seven of the World Series.

Montgomery played for the Storm Chasers in 2011 and 2012, in 2011 he had a record of five and 11 with a 5.32 era in 150.2 innings pitched. Montgomery went three and six in 2012 with a 5.69 era. The Mariners traded Montgomery and Jordan Pries to Chicago for Dan Vogelbach and Paul Blackburn.
