Huskers appearing at Werner Park

The Omaha Storm Chasers and Nebraska Cornhuskers will combine tonight at Werner Park. A slew of former Huskers will be throwing out ceremonial first pitches as well as signing autographs around the park tonight.

All of the former Huskers are making an appearance of behalf of the Teammates Mentoring Program.

The list of former players in attendance tonight by sport:

Football: Zack Bowman, Alfonzo Dennard, Ciante Evans, Jamal Turner, Eric Warfield and Steve Warren.

Basketball: New Huskers women’s basketball coach Amy Williams, Walter Pitchford

Volleyball: Kadie Rolfzen, Amber Rolfzen, and Kelly Hunter from the 2016 NCAA Champion Huskers volleyball team.

Along with the Huskers festivities, it is also Thirsty Thursday. $2 Bud and Bud Light cans will be available in addition to $1 fountain drinks. Thirsty Thursday is sponsored by KMTV Action 3 News.

The Storm Chasers will face Memphis tonight with first pitch at 6:35, gates open at 5:30.
