The Creighton Bluejays opened up Big East play with a little bit of history. Creighton took out St. John's 80-70, and it doubled as their first ever victory over St. John's in New York.
Geoffrey Groselle led the way for the Jays with 22 points. The big man also chipped in three blocks. Cole Huff also put in a solid day's work as the leading rebounder with 11 boards. And Maurice Watson Jr. continues to lead the offense efficiently. He scored 17 points while dishing out eight assists.
Creighton will return to action on Saturday when they host the defending Big East Champions from Villanova.
