OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - Creighton's weekend baseball series against Central Connecticut State has been canceled, the Blue Jays announced Tuesday.
Central Connecticut State declined to travel due to the ongoing concern of the spread of the coronavirus.
It marks the first athletic-related sporting event cancellation in Omaha related to coronavirus concerns.
Creighton is trying to find replacement games.
Fans who had tickets to the series with Central Connecticut State can exchange them for any remaining regular season home game by logging on to their MyCreighton account.
Tickets can also be redeemed at the Creighton ticket office located inside the Ryan Athletic Center or at the TD Ameritrade Park Omaha Box Office on game days only starting one hour prior to first pitch.
