PAPILLION, Neb. (KMTV) - The Sarpy County Tourism Office will be open from 12-5 on Sunday in case anyone wants to drop off cards for Bob Gibson's family.

Gibson, an Omaha native and a baseball Hall of Famer, passed away Friday at the age of 84.

The Sarpy County Tourism Office says fans have already begun to drop off items at the Bob Gibson statue outside their office and they expect more to come over the next few days.

Gibson spent his entire career with the St. Louis Cardinals and racked up more than 3,100 career strikeouts while winning two Cy Young awards. He's perhaps best remembered for posting a modern era record 1.12 ERA during the 1968 season.

The Sarpy County Tourism Office is located at 12356 Ballpark Way in Papillion.
