OMAHA (KMTV) — The Iowa football team hung on to beat Nebraska for the 6th straight season on Friday, 26-20.
The Huskers had the ball in Hawkeyes territory in the final two minutes but Adrian Martinez fumbled & the Hawks recovered to put it away.
"I'm proud of this team," Nebraska head coach Scott Frost said afterwards. "That's a good team we played. We had chances to win. We've got to button things up and do the little things right all the time."
NU outrushed Iowa, 143-to-129.
The Hawkeyes improved to 4-2 while the Huskers fell to 1-4.
NU visits Purdue next Saturday.
