LINCOLN (KMTV) — Nebraska safety Deontai Williams announced on Wednesday he will return to the Huskers in 2021.
Williams made the announcement on Twitter.

The senior has one more season of eligibility remaining. Williams started every game in 2021 earning All-Big Ten honorable mention after racking up a career-high 51 tackles, four for loss & a sack. The Florida native also had four pass breakups, a forced fumble & a recovered fumble.
Williams join fellow NU senior JoJo Domann in returning to the Big Red for another season thanks to the NCAA granting all players an extra year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The safety will be joined in the defensive backfield by junior Cam Taylor-Britt, who announced he'd return to Nebraska as well after some thought he might test the NFL waters.
