Iowa Western is back in the JUCO World Series yet again, and they drew top ranked Santa Fe for their first round opponent. The Reivers trailed 3-1 in the bottom of the ninth when the game took an interesting turn. Iowa Western's Kaleb Reid laid down what appeared to be a sacrifice bunt. The throw to first was offline and landed in the outfield. This allowed two runs to score and tie the game. Then the throw back into the infield skipped all the way past the catcher allowing Reid to come all the way around and win the game.
Iowa Western's 4-3 win advances them in the winner's bracket to play Chattoochee Valley at 7:30 PM on Monday.,
