OMAHA (KMTV) — Despite being without BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year Marcus Zegarowski, #7 Creighton cruised past St. John's on Saturday in Omaha, 97-79, for the Bluejays' 6th straight win.

Zegarowski was sidelined with a hamstring injury but CU still scored 56 points in the first half, its highest first half output ever in a BIG EAST game.

Creighton also hit a season-high 16 three pointers with six Jays scoring in double figures. Denzel Mahoney had 24 points, the most he's ever scored while at CU.

Creighton has now won six straight BIG EAST games in a single season for the first time ever. The Jays (10-2, 6-1) are now off for a week before heading to Butler next Saturday starting at 1 p.m. on FOX.
