High Wind Warning until FRI 6:00 PM CST Issued January, 15 2021 at 5:03 AM - US/Central expires January, 15 2021 at 6:00 PM - US/Central ...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Northwest winds sustained generally 30 to 40 MPH with gusts as high as 55 to 65 MPH. * WHERE...Portions of north central Kansas and central, east central and south central Nebraska. * WHEN...Until 6 PM CST Friday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Scattered power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The overall-strongest winds during the remainder of the Warning are expected to occur between early Friday morning and mid-afternoon. In addition, it is likely that the strong winds will combine with light falling snow to reduce visibility at times on Friday, especially in northern and eastern portions of the area. The main area of concern for possible blowing snow/visibility issues resides east of a line from Ord, to Grand Island, to Hebron Nebraska. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
