The saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers,” and while over half of our days in April in Omaha received at least some rain, it didn’t add up to much. Since April is over now, let’s check to see how the month stacked up to our averages.
For our precipitation, we came up short. Omaha averages one inch of snow during April, but this year we only saw a trace out at Eppley. Rain totals were also below average. We only picked up 1.35 inches of rain compared to our April average of 2.96 inches.
On the other hand, Omaha’s temperatures were above average. Typically, the average high is 64 degrees and the average low is 40 degrees. This April, our average high was 66 degrees and our average low was 43.
