COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa. (KMTV) — Google granted five Iowa-based non-profit organizations $175 thousand each to help grow job skills and careers.
Buena Vista University Lamberti Center, EMBARC, New Bo Co, Four Mounds and iJag were chosen to receive the grants.
EMBARC won the People's Choice Award and received an additional $125 thousand to help people from Burma find jobs and prepare for the workforce.
Non-profit organizations that didn't get the chance to submit a grant application can still join the Grow With Google Partner Program for free resources on teaching people digital skills to grow their careers.
