LANCASTER COUNTY
Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department announced that 201 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Lancaster County on Saturday, bringing the community total to 10,746. The number of deaths in the community remains at 50.
The 90 new cases reported Friday yesterday were partial results. Saturday's total includes cases reported by midnight last night. The total number of new cases reported for Friday and Saturday is 291.
DOUGLAS COUNTY
Douglas County health officials reported a record number of new coronavirus cases in the county on Saturday.
County health officials reported 640 new cases, breaking the old single-day high of 565 set on Friday.
The total number of coronavirus cases in the county since the pandemic began in March stands at 25,942.
County health officials also reported four new deaths related to coronavirus on Saturday. A woman in her 60s, two women over 70 and a man in his 70s have passed away from the virus.
The total number of coronavirus-related deaths in the county sits at 246.
