OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Boys Town has announced that former NBA Champion Bruce Bowen will be the featured speaker at this year's Booster Banquet.
Bowen is a three-time NBA Champion and eight-time NBA All-Defensive Team selection who made a name for himself with his ability to stop the league's best scorers. Bowen played in the NBA for 13 years.
The Booster Banquet, which benefits and honors Boys town student athletes will be held on April 30, 2019 at the Embassy Suites Windsor Ballroom in La Vista.
The Boosters were formed back in 1967 to help ensure that any child who wants to play sports at Boys Town could do so. The funds raised make sure each child has the proper equipment, uniform, and other necessities.
The event is open to the public. Tickets are $100 each or tables of 10 can be purchased for $1,000. Tickets are available on the Boys Town website.
