Luis Velasquez-Ortiz, 42, pleaded no contest to multiple charges for his role in a hit-and-run crash that killed a motorcyclist in April.
Police say Velasquez-Ortiz, who was in the country illegally, went through a stop sign then hit, and ran over, the body of 31-year-old Juan J. Moreno-Tamayo.
Moreno-Tamayo was pronounced dead at the scene.
