OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Nebraska legislature passed a bill aimed at providing more protection to underage sex assault victims.

The bill would prevent attorney's from trying to use victim consent in civil cases involving sex when the offender is 19 or older and the victim is younger than 16. It also throws out that claim for any sexual contact involving a victim younger than 15.
