A summer tradition in the state returns Friday.
The Nebraska State Fair begins Aug. 24 and runs through Labor Day.
The 11-day expo will feature fan-favorites such as competitions in livestock, handmade crafts and baked good along with new food features such as grilled mac and cheese sandwich, bacon wrapped gator corn dogs and gourmet donut burgers.
Singer Kelly Clarkson and the group Sugarland are part of the concert line-up, but this week's earlier rain forced them to change performance venues.
Advance ticketsfor the gate are $9 with reduced gate prices on selected days.
