After several rounds of winter weather the past few weeks and temperatures hitting the mid-50's Monday, the freezing and refreezing roads have caused a major pothole problem across the city.
Omaha Public Works says it has received at least 1,500 reports of potholes in the month of February alone.
City crews will be out working through the week to fill potholes, focusing on main streets.
Earlier this morning, a woman told Omaha Police a pothole was the reason for her crash near 86th and Pacific. She told 3 News Now she hit the pothole, jumped the curb and hit a tree before spinning out.
There is a smart phone app that allows residents to report potholes to the city called the Omaha mobile app.
