OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Jaquan Haynes,a suspect in the Omaha shooting death of 19-year-old Nomi Herrera was killed in an officer involved shooting in Fulton County, Georgia early Tuesday morning.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Will Iverson, with the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force confirmed that Haynes, 18, was killed when officers from the Marshal Service and Fulton County Sheriff's Office attempted to serve Haynes with an arrest warrant for first-degree felony murder and use of a firearm to commit a felony.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) released a statementsaying that it was was requested by the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) to initiate an officer involved shooting investigation.
According to a release from GBI, at approximately 6:40 a.m. on Dec. 29, "Officers knocked on the front door and announced their presence at the residence. As an occupant of the residence opened the door, a male subject discharged a firearm towards officers. Two officers (one with the USMS and one with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office) returned fire, striking the male subject. The male subject was pronounced dead on scene."
No officers were injured during the incident.
The GBI will conduct an independent investigation. Once completed, it will be turned over to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office for review.
