OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Following the July arrest of Joseph Pierce, 54, on suspicion of First Degree Sexual assault of a child, Omaha police believe there may be more victims in and around Omaha.

They say Pierce frequently traveled along bordering states in the area.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have been a victim or has more information to contract OPD's Child Victim Sexual Assault Unit at 402-444-5636.

According to police, the alleged incident occurred in 1997-1998 but was not reported until 2005.

Investigators had been trying to locate Pierce to question him about the allegations.

He was located in Indiana and extradited to Nebraska.

OPD arrested Pierce on July 3.
