One person dead in two-vehicle crash

SEWARD, Neb. (KMTV) — One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Seward on Sunday.

The preliminary investigation shows that a 2007 Subaru Tribeca was traveling Westbound on Waverly Road when it entered the intersection of 196th Road. A 2008 Buick Enclave SUV was traveling northbound on 196th Road when it was struck on the passenger side by the Subaru.

The driver of the Subaru is identified as 20-year-old Paxton Minnig of Lincoln. He suffered non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the 2008 Buick is identified as 53-year-old Edward Gonzalez. He was treated for his injuries and released. His passenger, 56-year-old Lily Gonzalez was transported to Seward Memorial Hospital with critical injuries. She was later life flighter to Bryan LGH West and was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to have been factors in the crash.
