After yesterday's winter weather, Omaha Public School bus routes experienced some delays Tuesday morning due to slick road conditions in parts of the city.

OPS elementary school buses reported few delays, according to OPS spokeswoman Monique Farmer. Conversely, many high school buses were delayed this morning, Farmer said, though most arrived at school on time or within 10 minutes of the morning class start bells.

No accidents were reported during the morning bus routes.

In an release reminding parents to make sure their children are dressed properly for the weather, OPS also gave instructions for checking on the status of delayed buses. Parents were asked to take their children to shelter and call 531-299-0140 if their student's bus has not arrived withing 15 minutes of the scheduled pickup.
