OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Outlook Nebraska hosted its annual Blind Golf Clinic Thursday afternoon at Indian Creek Golf Course.

The event paired seeing golf coaches with visually impaired golfers. The coaches worked with the kids on chipping, hitting and putting and then hit the links for three holes. The athletes ranged in sight from partially impaired to completely blind.

"You're not only having fun but you're also gaining confidence and independence, especially for our teens if they can go scuba diving or play golf I can go to college or do a job interview," said Rachel Carver, Outlook Nebraska's communications coordinator."

This is the ninth year Outlook Nebraska has put on the event. Outlook Nebraska does activities involving other sports besides golf.
