Pop-up boutique benefits breast cancer group

Members are patients, survivors

New and gently-used clothing, housewares and items will assist local breast cancer survivors and patients during a pop-up boutique Saturday.

Support group the Pink Lotus Project is hosting the event from 9 a.m to 5 p.m at 3208 Corby St.

Members meet every third Saturday of the month from noon to 2 p.m. and use a holistic approach with services and programs, said founder Tisa Hardin-Partridge.

Hardin-Partridge often says the support group treats the mind, body and soul - not just the cancer.

"Most of our ladies are still currently in treatment and going through their chemotherapy and their radiation," she said. "So we're just here to kind of help them through that process, kind of let them know what to expect."
