Prosecutors in the state of Nebraska revealed Wednesday they will seek the death penalty for Bailey Boswell, the 24-year-old woman charged in the death of SydneyLoofe, according to our partners at the Omaha World-Herald.
Court records show the reason the death penalty is sought for Boswell because the killing of Loofe was "especially heinous."
If convicted, Boswell would be the first woman on death row in Nebraska.
Prosecutors are also seeking the death penalty for the other person charged inLoofe'sdeath, 51-year-old Aubrey Trail. Trailhas claimed responsibility for killing Loofe, saying Boswell was in the house at the time of the death but had no part in it.
