Wesley Correa-Carmenaty, the man accused of shooting and killing Pottawattamie County deputy Mark Burbridge, is scheduled to go on trial on Aug. 15.

According to the Daily Nonpareil, Correa-Carmenaty has not waived his right to a speedy trial and has not requested the trial be moved to Sioux City.

Correa-Carmenaty's attorney Greg Jones said the details could change.

In May, Correa-Carmenaty was charged with first-degree murder.
