Two boys are being treated at the hospital after being hit by a car Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened just before 3:30 p.m at the intersection of 156th Street and Pepperwood Drive, just north of West Dodge. Police say the driver was northbound on 156th and had the green light, when the two boys ranging in age of 11 and 13 crossed the road. The driver stated they did not see the kids in time to stop. Investigators say the boys did not have the right of way.
The boys were taken to Nebraska Medicine with injuries are not considered life threatening. Traffic was blocked off for about an hour and a half following the accident., but has since returned to normal.
