OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The newest Omaha sports team will soon have its identity.

Officials with Omaha's USL's League One franchise are planning a block party for the reveal of the team's name, colors, and crest. The announcement of a soccer team in the city came back in May.

A round table discussion was held in late May so fans could share their ideas for a name and crest.

The party will be held at 62nd and Maple next Thursday, October 3rd, starting at 5:00 p.m. There is no admission fee, but an RSVP is required. The event is open to all ages. You can RSVP here.

The team is slated to start play in 2020 at Werner Park.
