35 drivers caught in DUI enforcement detail

Omaha Police released the results of their enhanced DUI enforcement patrols that began on March 10th and ended on Saturday.
 
The department conducted 10 patrols during that time period. They arrested 35 drivers for DUI, 25 of them were first time offenders, while 8 were second time offenders. Two others were picked up for DUI felony offense.
 
Officers also wrote 264 speeding tickets, and caught 10 people driving with suspended licenses. 17 people were also ticketed for seat belt violations.
 
The Nebraska State Patrol also took 15 suspected drunk drivers off the road statewide on St. Patrick's Day.  Troopers also wrote 77 speeding tickets and warnings, and 25 tickets and warnings for seat belt violations.
