OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — On Wednesday, the Central District Health Department (CDHD) reported 297 total coronavirus cases had been confirmed in the region. On Thursday, the department is reporting 360 total cases.
In addition to the new cases, the CDHD is also reporting an additional death in Aurora which brings the department's total to six. The man person was a man in his 60s who was living at at long-term care facility.
The cases per county are:
- Merrick: 6
- Hamilton: 15
- Hall: 339
The CDHD did not share any additional cases at long-term care facilities, which were at 40, today.
The department hopes more people will be referred by healthcare systems for testing. Yesterday, the district surpassed the Douglas County Health Department for total reported cases. Hall County, alone, still has more cases than Douglas County.
