OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — After canceling his planned commencement speech back in April, former Nebraska Governor and U.S. Senator Bob Kerrey will speak at Creighton tonight.

The controversy started when the Nebraska GOP asked the University to find a new speaker due to Kerrey's stance on abortion rights.

Kerrey is part of Creighton's Presidential Lecture Series. The topic of his speech will be "Power and the Importance of Dissent."

His speech starts at 7:30 p.m. and we will live stream the event on our website, Facebook page, and all streaming devices.
