Sgt. Kyle Leflore, 27, was shot outside a bar in the Florence neighborhood in what his father later referred to as a "senseless death over jewelry." Leflore had served in Afghanistan, Iraq and South Korea.

Larry Goynes, 27, and Jason Devers, 35, were each charged with first-degree murder in January.
