OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — "Delicious, homemade goodness." That's the motto for Tasty Pizza, a locally-owned restaurant tucked away in a neighborhood near UNO.
Owner Mary Joseph says the restaurant is all about freshness. Staff use fresh ingredients to make pizzas from scratch.
"It's all in the dough," said Joseph. "We make fresh dough every day and let it ferment for about two days in the walk-in fridge so that it's perfect consistency."
The menu has nearly a dozen pizzas, including traditional such as Pepperoni, Cheese, and Sausage. They also have unique pizzas designed in-house such as Spinach Zeta, McKenna Macarena and Goat cheese and Beet pizza.
The restaurant opened several years ago, but limited its menu to strictly pizzas three years ago.
Customers told 3 News Now, "It's the perfect lunch place. It's such a homey place - complete representation of the neighborhood. I love the fresh ingredients and the prices are unbeatable." Another customer said, "I've tried almost all of their pizzas and they're all great. You can't go wrong. It's like the perfect serving too. It's a good lunch meal and you can pack it up and take it home and save it for tomorrow if you have extra."
The smaller 8" pizzas cost roughly $5.50 while the large 16" pizzas cost around $10.50. The menu also includes salads and desserts.
