OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A local insurance company is offering free lunches for veterans in the Omaha metro.

Tyler Peschong started the 'Buy Lunch for a Veteran' program with his team at his State Farm Insurance office.

Peschong said the idea behind the program was to honor and thank veterans with an act of service. Through donations from his team and people around the country, they have received enough money to support about 38 veterans' lunches.

In order to get the $20 meal, any U.S. Veteran can stop by Peschong's State Farm Insurance office, introduce themselves, and they'll be issued a card to get lunch at the restaurant of their choice.

The program kicked off on Veteran's Day and will continue throughout the month of November or until supplies last.

Peschong's office is located at 10525 Pacific St. Omaha, NE 68114. Veterans can go Monday-Friday between 9AM - 5PM.
